Ronald
McDonald House Dinner Service Project
On Saturday,
July 26, 2003, ten members of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
Hawaii Section, Younger Member Forum (YMF) and UH Student Chapter gathered
to prepare, cook and serve a mouth-watering barbeque dinner for the families
staying at the Moana Ronald McDonald House. The menu ranged from
YMFer Tony Lau’s famous BBQ chicken to a decadent homemade brownie sundae
bar. Over the past several years, the YMF has sponsored and prepared
several dinners for the House residents, and the warmth and appreciation
expressed by the families has made the Ronald McDonald House one of their
favorite community service activities. The YMF would like to thank
all of the members who generously gave up their Saturday afternoon to participate
in this rewarding activity. A special thank you goes out to the dedicated
YMF Community Service Committee Chairperson Jon Yoshinaga for his efforts
in coordinating this event. |
