Kapiolani Children's Miracle Network Volunteer Day

YMF will participate in the Kapiolani Children's Miracle Network Volunteer Day on Sunday, June 03, 2001 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the KITV 4 news station (One Archer Lane).  YMF will provide food and be responsible for completing various tasks.  Please call Willie at 864-5943 if you have any questions or are interested in volunteering.

2001 Employer Recognition Award Winners

Has your employer supported your participation in ASCE activities?  You may want to nominate your employer for the 2001 Employer Recognition Award.  To qualify for this award, an employer should exhibit exemplary support evidenced by efforts such as:

•  Providing a model for involvement through company-wide participation in local, regional and national ASCE activities.
•  Allowing young engineers time off to attend ASCE meetings and seminars.
•  Supporting and encouraging technical and professional growth.
•  Assisting in the payment of local and national dues.

Please contact Jamie Hikiji at 521-3051 for a nomination form if you would like to nominate your employer for this award.  Nomination forms are due to the Hawaii YMF by July 15, 2001.
