The Hawaii Section is proud to honor its award recipients listed below.

2011 Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Awards

The Hawaii Section gave Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement awards to 2 fantastic projects for 2011.  The awards were presented at a banquet at the Culinary Institute of the Pacific at Kapiolani Community College on Sept 17 complete with gourmet food, panoramic views, great presentations and comraderie.

ASCE Hawaii Section/Walter Lum Scholarship

This annual scholarship assists those with financial need to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. The scholarship is for juniors and seniors enrolled in the College of Engineering, University of Hawaii at Manoa and majoring in Civil Engineering.  Preference is given to active UH-Manoa ASCE Student Chapter members and to those students who demonstrate financial need without other substantial financial assistance.  The scholarship is awarded by the ASCE Hawaii Section Scholarship Committee at the end of the Spring semester for use during the Fall semester.

The Scholarship was awarded at the ASCE Hawaii Section Dinner Meeting on April 23, 2009.

The proceeds of the ASCE Hawaii Section Scholarship Golf Tournament in Honor of Steve Fong, formerly known as the Steve Fong Scholarship Tournament, will benefit the ASCE Student Chapter  at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

    Hawaii Section Oustanding Civil Engineering Achievement (OCEA) Award

    Nominations for ASCE Hawaii Section OCEA Award
        The ASCE Hawaii Section annually recognizes an exemplary civil engineering project as the Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement (OCEA).  This prestigious award recognizes the project that best illustrates superior civil engineering skills and represents a significant contribution to civil engineering progress and society.

    The 2011 Hawaii Section OCEA Award winner will be announced and the award presented to the project owner at the Hawaii Section Annual Banquet on September 10, 2011 at the Kapiolani CC Culinary Institute.
