CIVIL ENGINEER V

POSITION SUMMARY:
​Does difficult professional engineering work in supervising the design, construction, maintenance and operation of civil engineering projects; prepares and supervises the preparation of designs, plans, specifications, estimates and reports.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in civil engineering.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
One year of registered professional Civil Engineering experience.


LICENSE REQUIREMENT:

  1. Current State of Hawaii registration as a professional engineer in Civil Engineering. You must submit a copy of your professionallicense within 7 days of filing your application.  Applicants with an out-of-state license in Civil Engineering must obtain the Hawaii license prior to appointment. 
  2. Valid Hawaii State driver's license (Type 3) prior to appointment.


VERIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
You must submit evidence of your professional license and education within 7 days of filing your application. A reproduced copy of your diploma and/or transcript which shows the embossed seal must be submitted in order to be given credit. Copies will not be returned.
