About the Business Line
Water - We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Civil Engineer for immediate employment in the Honolulu, HI office.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Independently perform engineering assignments requiring application of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria
Assessment and design of rockfall hazards and mitigation measures
Planning and design for infrastructure systems (roads, water, wastewater, drainage)
Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates
Research alternative design approaches, regulatory agency specifications and requirements
Organize, schedule, and plan tasks and investigations
Manage tasks of a larger project or program under direction of a project manager
Field inspections to define site conditions, scope a project and inspect construction
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental or related engineering
PE from State of Hawaii or able to obtain
5+ years experience in design of infrastructure projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation
Must be a team player and possess strong interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Civil 3D, GIS, Microsoft Office suite
Skills analyzing hydrology and hydraulics and using hydraulic models (e.g. HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS)
Valid driver's license
Experience with local (Hawaii/Guam) clients
Project management training or experience
