Project Managers
Will manage major civil engineering design tasks on Aviation or Water Resource projects and ensure quality, financial, schedule, and other client needs are met. Working with multidisciplinary design teams of geotechnical, environmental, mechanical, electrical, municipal and transportation engineers, architects, planners, drafters and support staff project manager will be responsible for the management and engineering design of assigned projects. Will be responsible for business development, project management and technical oversight activities including, developing and maintaining pursuit list, preparing proposals, project cost estimates and schedules, project work plans, keeping projects on schedule and within budget, coordinating / scheduling project staff, and coordinating / participating in the preparation of technical reports documenting project activities, findings, and recommendations. This person will also be responsible for the development of new business with existing and new clients. Candidate will be actively involved with development and mentoring of junior level technical staff. He/she must comply with URS' Corporate Health and Safety program and actively promote a strong safety culture. This position will involve some travel to project sites and may have opportunities for more extensive travel if desired.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 10+ years of engineering work experience in design and/or construction including at least 5 years as a Project Engineer or Project Manager. Project experience should include the following; aviation, water resources, site design, drainage, H&H and utilities. (Aviation PM position requires extensive experience within the aviation industry). Must be skilled in managing people, design efforts and projects, and establishing close client relations with clients, regulatory agencies, subs, and internal staff. Excellent oral and written communication skills are also required. Requires registration as a professional engineer with the ability to obtain registration with the Hawaii State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers within 6 months. Senior Civil Engineer
Management and design of civil engineering tasks for projects related to aviation, transportation, wastewater, and site utilities. Projects will include civil site and utility design, road/highway design, runway/taxiway design, transit oriented civil projects and construction assistance. Your assignments could include design development for site planning, site utilities, drainage, site grading, roadway layout, storm drain/sewer system, water/wastewater/recycled water infrastructure and pipelines. The types of projects that you will work on include facilities, transportation structures/systems, hydraulic structures/systems, and water/wastewater systems for private clients as well as local, State, and Federal clients. We incorporate sustainable design concepts in our projects. The selected candidate will work very closely URS project managers, project engineers, and other staff professionals to develop engineering opinions, design recommendations, technical reports, and design documents such as plans, specification, and construction cost estimates/schedules. Support the marketing services to new and existing clients. The successful candidate must comply with URS' Corporate Health and Safety program and actively promote a strong safety culture.

Requirements: BS or MS in Civil Engineering with 5+ years design experience. Has PE certification with the ability to obtain registration with the Hawaii State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers within one year. Candidate should have utilities design experience including site development, drainage, grading, site utilities, erosion control, SWPPP, BMP, and roadway design. Multidisciplinary experience including construction cost estimating, scheduling, specifications writing and drainage/water/sewer modeling required. Candidate must show an increase in project responsibility with project management experience. Knowledge and ability to perform design work using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Strong written and verbal communication and organization skills. Candidate must be able to work independently and with others on multiple projects.

Description: HDR seeks a dynamic individual to join our Honolulu, HI wastewater team in the role of Deputy Program Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in wastewater collection and treatment infrastructure, business development experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic, time management skills, and demonstrated team-oriented performance. The individual must have demonstrated experience in staff and /or project management, and client relations and interface working with municipal utilities, State and local regulatory agencies, as well as Federal agencies. The Deputy Program Manager will be responsible for leadership and management of various projects and task orders required as part of the City’s response to the General Consent Decree recently issued by EPA. Responsibilities include identifying required project activities, creating and managing budgets, interaction with City staff and their consultants, providing positive direction and guidance to the team, and oversee the performance of the work associated with the City of Honolulu’s wastewater program. Job Description:

· Responsible for the planning, management and implementation of a portfolio of KS’ redevelopment and/or major repairs/capital improvement projects (MRCIP) each year, including the development of portfolio strategies to leverage resources and create economies of scale, as well as individual project management plans/strategies, budgets, scopes of work, business cases, schedules and spending projections.
· Manages all aspects of project planning and implementation, including planning/budgeting/pre-design, design and permitting, bidding/negotiation and construction processes, oversees internal and external resources and project teams.
· Assesses project outcomes, and supports KS annual and long-term budgeting efforts by establishing historical cost data; works with facilities managers to maintain KS’ Facilities Management plans and databases.
· Project Portfolio Development: Develops the specific management strategy for implementing a portfolio of projects each year, which may include individual projects or consolidated bundles of projects to enhance internal efficiency, create economy of scale and further KS’ interests in the competitive construction market.
· Directly manages the overall implementation of a portfolio of projects (projects that may individually range from $100K to as much as $50M per) that typically number between 10 and 25 projects, with an average total portfolio value of $20M to $30M.
· Implements portfolio and project management plans independently, and is accountable for project performance in alignment with goals, budgets, timetables, standards and policy.
· Develops proposal requests and negotiates contract fees from consulting professionals, or develops design requirements and specifications for bidding.
· Develops and directs the construction management methodology for the construction phase work, including the procurement and management of construction management and specialty consulting firms.
· Performs evaluation of consultants and contractors upon project completion, conducts overall assessment of project outcomes, collaborates with other professional staff in establishing and updating the division’s cost management databases and provides historical data on actual project costs.
· Provides support to various departments in related activities or initiatives, including technical consultation, planning initiatives, education specifications and programming, feasibility studies, and assessments of facilities and real property. Supports long-range capital planning/forecasting, and cross trains to effectively manage the organization’s Facilities Management plans and databases.
· Manages Program Alignment Risk, Financial Risk, Environmental Risk, Contract Risk, and Communications Risk as it relates to the position.
· Performs other related duties and assigned or requested.

Project Manager, Remediation & Infrastructure

CAPE has a need for a Project Manager, Remediation & Infrastructure, to support CAPE’s efforts executing projects in the Pacific Rim due to new opportunities in the region, including a NAVFAC contract.

Position reports to our Honolulu, HI office.

Responsibilities include:
• The overall execution of Remediation & Infrastructure (R&I) projects.
• Will support Navy, USACE, AFCEE, and various commercial clients.
• Managing and/or overseeing projects to include: client relations, labor relations, security, budgets, cost control, schedules, subcontractors, changes, technical/contractual compliance, QA/QC, safety, staffing resources, invoicing, etc.;
