| The ASCE Hawaii Section
has created a webpage that allows the posting of job openings for the civil
enginering community. For a minimum fee of $40 per month, you can
advertise your job openings to over 1,000 ASCE Hawaii Section members.
The ASCE Hawaii Section website is also linked with other ASCE section
and student chapter websites, expanding the number of civil engineers with
access to your job listing to over 123,000 worldwide.
The ASCE Hawaii Section website
has won the 2004 Zone IV Outstanding Section and Branch Web Site Award
for Large Sections and the 2003 National Outstanding Section and Branch
Web Site Award for Large Sections. There were over 40,000 visits
to the ASCE Hawaii Section website between April 2004 and February 2005.
The job listings were hit almost 400 times in the month of February 2005.

Advertising Rates
The cost for companies or government
divisions to advertise on the webpage is $40 per month for the first five
(5) postings with that company or division. Postings over the first
five (5) are $5 each. A future posting which occurs within the month
of the initial posting is $5 and runs until the end of the initial posting.
The company or division may revise or replace up to five (5) listings without
additional cost over the monthly fee. Revisions or replacements over
five (5) are $5 each. All postings can be continued for $40 per month.
Advertisements shall be checked
for errors on the first day it is posted on the website. The deadline
for corrections is 2 p.m. on the next working day following the posting.
A correction in this time period will not be included in the "revision/replacement"
charge.
Bills are e-mailed to the
company or division contact person on the day the advertisement is posted
and on 90-day cycles after posting unless we are notified by e-mail of
an advertisement cancellation.
Cancellations submitted by
11 a.m. on weekdays will be cancelled by 3 p.m. on the same weekday or
the following working day. Confirmation of the cancellation will
be e-mailed to the company or division contact person.
Here are two examples:
1. On the 15th of April,
Company X would like to like to advertise for a entry level engineer and
a project manager for one month each, we will only charge them $40.
On the 25th of April, an additional advertisement for a mid-level engineer
is posted at a charge of $5. All three (3) advertisements will run
until May 15th. The cost to continue the advertisements to June 15th
is $40.
2. From April 15 to May 15,
the State Department of Transportation, Highways Division would like to
advertise for an Engineer III position and the State Department of Transportation,
Harbors Division would like to advertise for an Engineer V position.
We will charge the State $40 for each posting for a total of $80 per month.
