POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Engineering Group Manager (EGM), the Structural Engineer IV (Engineering Team Leader; ETL) position provides professional level application of engineering fundamentals to the design of Structural engineering systems. Incumbent in the Structural Engineer IV position has obtained his/her license as a Professional Engineer (PE) and typically manages a group of other
Engineers. Work will consist of structural engineering services including bridge work (girder, suspension, arch, truss, bascule, lift and swing), long span roof structures, buildings, retaining walls and various other types of construction. Desired Competencies include: supervisory skills, project management skills and demonstrated ability to plan, communicate and execute solid performance and
interactions with his/her team and the client. Ideal candidate should be a motivated, hands-on Engineer who can work both independently and collaboratively to meet time sensitive deadlines. The successful candidate adheres to company policy, works well with others and is a motivated, self-starter who can work on multiple tasks and priorities within a fast paced entrepreneurial environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
- License: Professional Engineers license.Experience: Three to five years of progressive engineering experience with wood, steel, concrete and masonry design of commercial projects.
- Technical: Proficient use of CAD software.
