Kalihi
Valley Nature Park Service Project
Kokua
Kalihi Valley (KKV) is a community-organized and community-operated non-profit
corporation severing residents of Kalihi Valley. KKV is creating
a nature park in the back of Kalihi Valley on land set aside by the State
of Hawaii for a new park. They have begun creating hiking trails,
community gardens, a camping area and restoring archeological sites.
ASCE YMF will be helping KKV with planting, spreading mulch, clearing,
trail building and light construction projects.

Time:
8:30 a.m. to Noon
Where:
Kalihi Valley Nature Park
Wear:
Long pants and covered shoes. Please bring sun screen, mosquito repellant,
and tools (if not they will provide gloves, picks and shovels).
Lunch:
ASCE YMF will provide lunch and drinks.
