Spring 2009 ASCE Hawaii Section YMF PE EXAM REFRESHER COURSE

Dates: Saturdays, January 17, 2009 to March 28, 2009 (Schedule - PDF 11kb)
Times: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Location: University of Hawaii at Manoa, Holmes 244

Cost: $475 Registration Fee for ASCE Hawaii Section Members
$550 Registration Fee for Non-ASCE Hawaii Section Members

Registration Deadline is January 9, 2009. Add $50 late fee to registration fee if payment is postmarked or delivered after January 9, 2009. Class size is limited and registration is done on a first-come first-served basis. Please call first if registering late to verify if space is available.

This year’s ASCE Hawaii Section YMF PE Refresher Course will cover the “breadth-and-depth format” of the civil engineering professional examination. This session’s lecturers are:

Structural Engineering: Mr. Brian Enomoto of Iwamoto & Associates, LLC

Highway Geometry: Mr. Randall Urasaki of Parsons Brinckerhoff

Geotechnical Engineering: Dr. Abidin Kaya of State of Hawaii Testing Lab

Environmental Engineering: Mr. Raj Rath of C&C of Honolulu, Dept of Design and Construction

Water Resources: Mr. Raj Rath of C&C of Honolulu, Dept of Design and Construction

Construction Engineering: Mr. Randall Akiona of University of Hawaii at Manoa

In addition to copies of the lecture notes for each subject and study supplies, class attendees will receive a copy of Michael R. Lindeburg’s Civil Engineering Reference Manual for the PE Exam, 11th edition. Attendees will also have the option of ordering additional reference materials as listed on the Course Flyer and Registration Form (MSWord 160kb or PDF 56kb).
