MECHANICAL ENGINEER V

POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs difficult professional engineering work in supervising and participating in the design, installation, operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems, and/or in the review and analysis of plans and specifications for mechanical engineering features and compliance with code requirements; and performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in Mechanical Engineering.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
One year of registered professional Mechanical Engineering experience.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
- Current State of Hawaii registration as a professional engineer in Mechanical Engineering.
- Applicants with an out-of-state license in Mechanical Engineering must obtain their Hawaii license prior to appointment.
- Valid Hawaii driver's license (Type 3) prior to appointment.
VERIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
You must submit evidence of your education and professional license within 7 days of filing your application. A reproduced copy of your diploma and/or transcript which shows the embossed seal must be submitted in order to be given credit for the education requirement. Copies will not be returned.
