This annual scholarship assists those with financial need to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. The scholarship is for juniors and seniors enrolled in the College of Engineering, University of Hawaii at Manoa and majoring in Civil Engineering with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.  Preference is given to active UH-Manoa ASCE Student Chapter members and to those students who demonstrate financial need without other substantial financial assistance.  The scholarship is awarded by the ASCE Hawaii Section Scholarship Committee at the end of the Spring semester for use during the Fall semester.

    The ASCE Hawaii Section annually recognizes an exemplary civil engineering project as the Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement (OCEA).  This prestigious award recognizes the project that best illustrates superior civil engineering skills and represents a significant contribution to civil engineering progress and society.

The 2009 Hawaii Section OCEA Award winner will be announced and the award presented to the project owner at the Hawaii Section Annual Banquet on October 2, 2009 at the Cupola Theater, Hawaii Design Center.  See the Announcement (PDF - 98 kb) or Announcement.All (272 kb).
